Nice To Haves

  • Experience in geostatistical resource estimation preferred
  • Experience with Vulcan, Leapfrog, or other mining software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain best practice standards across geologic interpretation and modeling workflows, providing enterprise expertise in 3D geological modeling and orebody architecture. Guide the development of geological models that accurately represent lithological domains, structural controls, alteration systems, and mineralization geometry, while promoting consistent methodologies across the portfolio and encouraging adoption of advanced tools and workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership on geological domaining strategies that underpin Mineral Resource estimation by evaluating interpretations to ensure domains reflect true geological controls on mineralization continuity and variability. Work closely with resource geology teams to ensure models support variography, estimation domains, classification decisions, and overall resource estimation workflows.
  • Support and enhance structural geology integration by guiding interpretation of structural frameworks controlling mineralization and ensuring features such as faults, folds, breccias, and deformation zones are accurately represented in 3D models.
  • Review geological models across operations to identify opportunities to improve interpretation, domaining, and model construction approaches, while promoting cross-asset learning and consistency that respects deposit-specific geological controls.
  • Provide technical support to operations on complex geological interpretations, domaining challenges, and modeling problems, assisting in resolving issues that impact resource confidence, continuity assumptions, mine planning inputs, and overall project evaluation.
  • Mentor and support geologists across the organization, delivering regular training aligned to Global Standards and promoting continuous improvement in modeling techniques, interpretation methods, and geological data integration.
  • Ensure high-quality geological data collection across all sites and actively participate in independent peer reviews and domain validation across the portfolio, supporting intervention on complex orebody risks and upside opportunities.
  • Drive integration across geology, metallurgy, mine planning, and exploration to ensure alignment between exploration and mine geology and support broader business objectives.
  • Deliver monthly reports tracking key geological modeling priorities, project progression, critical milestones, risks, and opportunities, and escalate material geological matters to the Director, Geology as required.
