SS&C is seeking a Fund Accounting Operations Specialist to join its Managed Operations team. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in financial technology, investment operations, or related discipline. The ideal candidate combines operational expertise with a customer focused mindset and a strong understanding of the asset management / hedge fund ecosystem. In this client facing role, you will deliver key middle and back office operational and onboarding services on Advent Geneva. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to oversee daily operational processes, ensure platform optimization, and support a variety of concurrent projects.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate technical and operational concepts clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical background.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence.
- Flexibility to work in different shift patterns as business needs evolve.
- 4–8 years of experience in a financial services, Hedge Fund, or financial technology environment within middle‑ or back‑office operations.
- Strong understanding of instrument valuation across asset classes including equities, options, futures, fixed income, credit, and FX.
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle, including pre-trade compliance, order generation, execution, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with buy‑side accounting platforms (Advent Geneva or similar PMS/IBOR/ABOR systems)
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of performance measurement principles, including unitized performance, return calculations, and attribution.
- Knowledge of month and quarter end processes and closing periods across administered, self-administered and family office setups.
- Experience with technical integrations across counterparties, market data vendors, and buy‑side platforms.
Responsibilities
- Execute operational processes and procedures.
- Onboard new functionality, asset classes, managers and more.
- Provide operational consulting and execution support on projects such as client onboarding, fund launches, counterparty setup, asset class expansion, reporting initiatives, and platform integrations.
- Conduct operational reviews to assess client environments, ensuring optimal configuration, adoption of new functionality, and implementation of scalable, efficient workflows.
- Advise on and support integrations across front, middle, and back-office systems, third‑party vendors, data warehouses, and reporting platforms.
- Document business and technical requirements, workflow designs, and maintain an up‑to‑date library of operational artifacts.
