Principal, Full Stack Engineer

Fidelity•Westlake, TX

About The Position

Fidelity is seeking a highly motivated engineer to provide technical leadership on a development team within Compliance Technology. The role drives the team's work to deliver modern solutions, advances engineering excellence and technology innovation, and translates leadership goals into technology execution plans. The engineer collaborates with team members, team leaders, business partners, and technology partners across the firm to establish requirements, influence strategic decisions, and build solutions for the team's domain. The role requires understanding existing business processes and managed applications, then translating requirements into business solutions through complex software programs. The position is part of the Fidelity Capital Markets Supervision technology team, which builds a cloud-native platform to analyze trade activities, including orders, executions, and other trade-related data. The platform helps identify potential deficiencies against internal policies and regulatory requirements for trading activities. The engineer works iteratively across the project lifecycle, identifying and defining needs and contributing to analysis, design, and delivery against the program roadmap. The role also includes mentoring junior developers. Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve; the transition does not apply to fully remote roles. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. Hiring may also be subject to restrictions arising from applicable laws and regulations concerning certain criminal histories.
