About The Position

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Financial Services team is looking for an experienced Information Technology Assurance Specialist to join our fast-paced FSI Security and Compliance team and help drive AWS adoption in the Financial Services industry. As a Principal Financial Services Assurance Specialist, your primary role will be to serve as a trusted advisor to our customers' Internal Audit teams, executives, and all stakeholders involved in the adoption of AWS cloud services. You will build deep relationships with the largest global financial institutions, from enterprise banks to Fintech startups, guiding them through their due diligence, audit, and assurance processes. You will engage with influencers and decision-makers at all levels—including C-suite executives, Chief Audit Executives, risk officers, and technology leaders—to instill confidence in AWS as their cloud provider of choice. You will demonstrate AWS best practices and leverage AWS resources to drive maximum efficiency during customers' assurance activities. This includes showcasing AWS tooling, frameworks, and services—including AWS Artificial Intelligence technologies—that simplify and accelerate customers' audit and due diligence processes. You will proactively identify opportunities to streamline assurance workflows, reduce redundancy, and enable customers to achieve their compliance objectives faster and more effectively using the full breadth of the AWS ecosystem. You will serve as a recognized thought leader in the cloud assurance and technology risk space by actively participating in and contributing to external organizations such as ISACA, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), and other relevant cloud technology risk and governance bodies. Through speaking engagements, publications, working groups, and industry forums, you will shape the conversation around cloud assurance best practices, elevate AWS's reputation in the financial services compliance community, and bring industry insights back to inform our strategy and customer engagements. You will play a leadership role on the FSI Security and Compliance team, working cross-functionally with internal AWS teams—including service teams, security engineering, compliance, legal, and solutions architecture—to develop and deliver best practices, frameworks, and requirements to our customers. You will drive internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of customer audit needs. As a senior leader on the team, you will mentor team members, establish scalable processes, and provide guidance to ensure customer stakeholders have a clear path to meet their required assurance activities in accordance with their expectations. Strategically, AWS Financial Services (FSI) Assurance Specialists are part of the broader Financial Services Security and Compliance team and seek to understand the audit and due diligence needs of Financial Services customers during their evaluation of AWS as a cloud provider, the overall trends in the industry, how customers define success, and ensure that we are exceeding expectations in developing and delivering solutions.
