Parsons is seeking an experienced Principal Fire Protection Engineer - Nuclear to join our expanding portfolio of commercial and federal nuclear projects. This role focuses primarily on nuclear facility fire protection, including fire safety hazards analysis, fire protection application selection, sprinkler design, fire alarm systems, smoke control, code consulting, and special hazard fire suppression. While the primary focus is the nuclear industry, this position will also support a broad mix of commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, battery storage, and government projects. This position requires knowledge of fire protection engineering principles and their application to fire risk analysis and life safety in nuclear/industrial facilities, systems, and processes; local, state, and federal building and fire codes, United Facilities Criteria, NFPA Standards including NFPA 801, 804, 805, and 806, DOE Orders and DOE-mandated codes and standards related to fire protection. Incumbents must maintain current knowledge of building and fire protection codes and regulations to assure compliance.
