One of the Finance initiatives is the creation of the Integration & Separation Management Office (IMO). The IMO is responsible for establishing governance, standard processes and supporting tools, ensuring consistency across all acquisition and divesture projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)
  • BS degree in Accounting or equivalent major, CPA strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or relevant field
  • Experience working with OneStream
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels and across the organization.
  • Experience integrating businesses into a shared service organization
  • MS Office experience including Excel (pivots, formulas, charts)
  • SAP GL experience

  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional acquisition, integration and divestiture teams to lead finance workstreams, bringing expertise, applying consistent approach, and ensuring various stakeholders in the organizations are consulted.
  • Partner with IT to execute on SAP Finance system integrations.
  • Assist with bringing acquisition entities into the Medtronic reporting process, including loading initial trial balances into SAP and completing Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Review acquisition Balance Sheet, providing direction and guidance for mapping accounts consistent with Medtronic Chart of Accounts and Accounting process.
  • Actively engage with SAP team members to convert acquired subledger balances, testing, and reconciliations as part of system integration.
  • Provide technical US GAAP guidance in aligning an acquired entity’s accounting processes to Medtronic’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • For divestiture, assist with workstreams that include defining the Balance Sheet perimeter, and Due Diligence process.
  • Draft and review Transition Service Agreement (TSA), including defining services to be included in scope and costing of service associated with divestitures.
  • Execute the TSA by partnering with functional leads, GL teams, and financial systems group.
  • Collaborate with IMO team members in operationalizing the market models.
