About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Special Program Portfolio in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD and 1 year of relevant experience. Four additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Requires experience with MS Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Requires experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tool, Business Intelligence & Analytics tool.
Project Management & Planning tool and/or Collaboration & Integration tools.
Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning and reporting including Annual Operating Plans and Long Range Strategic Plans

Nice To Haves

US Citizenship is required with an active in-scope US Secret Security Clearance (obtained with the last 6 years)
Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience managing and analyzing project costs
Experience supporting contracts with EVMS requirements
Working knowledge of S4.

Responsibilities

Performs research and studies subjects such as rates of return, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements, balance sheet, and income statements.
Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management.
Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, and document format for data processing equipment.
May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit or division.
Setup, monitoring, and controlling program costs.
Estimate at completion and forecast related activities.
Performing miscellaneous financial analysis as required.
