About the Team The Workday Extend Services team focuses on the implementation of custom business applications or application extensions using the Workday Extend platform and tooling. Extend Services sits within Workday’s Global Technical Services organization dedicated to the implementation of Workday Extend applications across all Industries and Geographies. We help customers make the most of the Workday platform! About the Role The Workday Extend Services Consultant designs, develops, and deploys Workday Extend applications for Workday customers. These applications will be built to run along with Workday’s Human Resources, Financial Management, and Student Information Systems. We are looking for hardworking professionals with Workday or similar experience who are passionate about customer success, achieving deployment breakthroughs, and delivering inspired applications. You will work directly with our customers to craft and develop innovative solutions to business challenges. You'll lead discovery sessions with customer domain specialists across various technical and product areas to assemble requirements and deliver accurate design documentation. You will build and review technical designs that are consistent, maintainable, flexible and efficient. You should excel at explaining complex concepts in simple terms and understanding customer procedures. You are curious about how things work and love solving puzzles.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with Workday HCM, Financials or Student domain experience is a MUST
  • 7+ years of experience with data migration, integration development, report building, or software development
  • 7+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design
  • 3+ years of experience with Software Architecture & Design
  • 3+ years of Workday Extend experience
  • Extensive knowledge of web service technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and authentication and authorization methods (OAuth, JWT, WS-Security, SAML, X.509, etc.)
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Superb communication capability
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams
  • A problem solver, with a passion for delivering outstanding levels of customer service
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with customer commitments simultaneously.
  • Experience implementing Platform-as-a-Service and/or custom web applications, including (ideally) implementing Workday solutions using Human Capital Management, Financial Management or Student Information Systems
  • Experience taking a leadership role within a software, system, or application implementation.
  • Advanced understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including collecting requirements, design, development, testing, and move to production
