The MSP's Principal Managed Services Consultant has a primary objective to drive sales growth of IT Outsourcing, Life Cyle Services, Managed Services and Staff Augmentation for all Connection business units through advanced pre-sales service consulting, solutions design, and services scoping. The Principal draws on knowledge specific to their primary and secondary technical specialization areas, to assess, qualify, design, and present service solutions of highly advanced levels of complexity to clients. The Principal offers insight relative to the customer’s industry and/or objectives, and provides solutions based on Connection’s Solutions and Services portfolio and extended partner network. The Principal works collaboratively with other pre-sales roles across the Technology Solutions group, as well as other COE focus areas including Multi-Cloud, Digital Workspace, Supply Chain and Lifecycle. Creates new MSP service offerings based on industry trends, competitive landscape and contemporary methods to solve business through IT Outsourcing, Life Cyle Services, Managed Services and Staff Augmentation solutions. Develops proposals and statement's of work based on a combination of requirements gathering, data collection and sizing exercises, as well as documented design and configuration activities. Utilizes independent judgment and discretion on selecting from internally established presales tools, as well as vendor-provided and industry-established reference architectures and validated designs, while leveraging Connection’s leading vendor and OEM product portfolios in a way that they can be efficiently and effectively combined into a holistic, integrated solution of products and services. Designs advanced service solutions that serve the functional and technical requirements of the client, and which best enable the sale and/or delivery of solutions that contribute to the customer’s success and ongoing enhancement of customer lifetime value. Assists in the development of new managed services offerings according to a multi-disciplinary framework that best supports Connection’s ability to deliver holistic, unified solution sets that result in positive customer experience (CX) and overall customer satisfaction. Articulates and presents the portfolio to Sales, to current and potential customers, as well as to Product Management (PM) and Connection’s partners and vendors. Assists with the creation and presentation of technical sales strategies to drive growth of IT Outsourcing, Life Cyle Services, Managed Services and Staff Augmentation services. Supports targeting sales into new accounts and expanding penetration in existing accounts w/ the SSE team which includes participation in building and executing account plans.
