About The Position

Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology seeking a committed professional for the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) team. This is a remote position, but the candidate must reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts. The EP Mapping Specialist will work alongside clinicians, engineers, physicians, and innovators to execute solutions for cardiac and other electrophysiological systems. The role involves blending technical expertise with a passion for improving patient outcomes, impacting global healthcare, and shaping the future of medical innovation. Various levels are available based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma PLUS a minimum of 10 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
  • OR Associate degree PLUS a minimum of 8 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
  • OR Bachelor degree plus a minimum of 6 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
  • Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
  • Must be within their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to freely move throughout the facility, use a phone, keyboard and mouse, visually able to interact with personal computers.
  • Must be able to stand/sit/walk for 8 hours a day.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
  • U.S. work authorization is required for roles below the Principal level.

Nice To Haves

  • B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline with minimum of four years work experience in cardiac field, hospital/ clinic or sales.
  • Proven track record with technical training assignments.
  • Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providing technical / clinical support.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and all CAS products.
  • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures.
  • Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
  • Develop and cultivate customer relationships resulting in incremental business.
  • Work in partnership with Account Manager, Regional Manager and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate and strategize with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the sales and clinical teams in the region.
  • Serve as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support.
  • Serve as a regional champion to share experience and influence others to be proficient in the mapping technology.
