We are seeking a Data Architect to be one of the architects shaping Donaldson's enterprise data future. We're building a newly re-established Enterprise Architecture team, and this is your opportunity to influence how data, AI, analytics, and modern cloud technologies are adopted across a global manufacturing company. You'll be part of a small, highly visible team where your ideas will directly influence enterprise technology decisions across a global organization. This isn't a role where you'll create standards from the sidelines; you'll be a hands-on Data Architect, partnering with business leaders, engineering teams, and emerging technology experts to solve real business challenges and drive enterprise-wide transformation. You'll love the opportunity to shape enterprise data strategy from the ground up, work with Snowflake, Azure, Oracle, AI, and modern cloud technologies, influence executive decisions and enterprise architecture standards, collaborate across business, IT, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Qualified candidates must be able to work a Hybrid US schedule.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Data or Enterprise Architecture
- 3+ years of Snowflake experience
- Strong expertise in cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, MDM, and Data Governance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
Nice To Haves
- AWS experience
- AI/ML data platform experience
- Cloud or data architecture certifications
Responsibilities
- Define and drive Donaldson's enterprise data architecture
- Develop the enterprise data strategy and roadmap
- Design scalable cloud-based data architectures and platforms
- Lead Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives
- Build trusted, governed data solutions for analytics and AI
- Establish enterprise data governance, quality, and architecture standards
- Partner with business leaders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Architect modern data solutions using Snowflake, Azure, Oracle, APIs, and streaming technologies
- Serve as a trusted advisor on enterprise data investments and strategy
