About The Position

PatientPoint Network Solutions LLC seeks a Principal Engineer to design, develop, and lead scalable cloud-native software solutions, including AI/ML-powered full-text and vector search services, event-driven microservices, distributed data-processing pipelines, and high-performance NoSQL storage and streaming systems. The role uses Java, Python, Lucene, AWS, Azure, Kafka, and other technologies to build secure APIs and real-time data solutions. The position is 100% telecommuting from anywhere in the United States, with 10% travel to the Cincinnati, Ohio headquarters for company and team meetings at least five times a year, for three to four days at a time. The Principal Engineer sets long-term technology strategies, significantly influences engineering standards and processes, mentors teams, and designs systems and frameworks with lasting value. The role also decomposes complex projects into work that less experienced engineers can build and maintain; supports technical audits and implements recommendations; maintains solution design documentation; promotes a security-first engineering culture; and applies Twelve-Factor App principles to build portable, resilient applications. The engineer partners with application development teams on data strategies, data flows, and conceptual data models. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and five years of experience in the offered role or a related field. The stated salary range is $190,000 to $210,000.
