About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. This position is fully onsite with a 4/10 schedule. Metallic and Composite Structural Analysis Engineer position requires experience in metallic structural analysis methods and documentation, detailed analysis procedures, load paths, load distribution, sizing, fittings/fasteners/joints/splices, acoustics/vibration familiarity, structural integrity plan, design criteria, stability, crippling, durability analysis and finite element modeling of structure. Desired skills include familiarity with layout sizing, and structural integrity evaluations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis
  • OR MS degree in STEM with 3 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis
  • OR PhD degree in STEM with 1 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience performing structural analysis on the F35 Program
  • Familiar with Lockheed Martin tools such as IMAT, IDAT, and PDM
  • Experience in finite element analysis/modeling techniques, including manipulation of large finite element models.
