Principal Engineer, Software
About The Position
Verint's Principal Software Engineer designs and develops key cloud-first, full-stack software products. This includes employing ReactJS, Java, SQL/NoSQL databases; introducing innovative technologies for cloud service integration and new UI and back-end features; identifying and implementing performance improvements; and providing subject matter expertise for customer implementation and cloud platform support. This role works with Product Management, Development, Operations and Client Services teams to develop creative solutions satisfying technical and business requirements. Additionally, the role provides recommendations to management as to process, technologies, or other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and/or quality of the solutions developed by the team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in design and architect of large-scale applications
- Advanced or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field
- Experience developing quality into the entire system
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and providing technical leadership on cutting-edge software development projects
- Hands-on experience, across full technology stack, in developing and architecting web applications that are scalable for large enterprise customers
- Excellent coding skills in C# (preferred) or Java required
- Experience with JavaScript UI library such as React, Angular or Vue is preferred
- Familiar with enterprise application security best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership by influencing the design and architecture of major software components, systems, automation testing, and features

- Improve architecture and code base to be scalable to support growth

- Adheres to strict deliverable deadlines while able to multi-task
- Responsible for architecting applications for the cloud
