Job Summary The Team Chronosphere, a Palo Alto Networks company, is the observability platform built for control in the modern, containerized world. Job Summary We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help ensure all components in our platform are optimized and battle-tested, so we can push our resources as far as they can go. This person has a passion for developing internal tools and platforms that are simple and easy to use, improving developer productivity across the company.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in infrastructure or production-focused engineering roles.
  • Ability to own projects from inception to delivery.
  • Experience building high-scale systems and sophisticated application services.
  • A passion for growing and mentoring peers.
  • Experience with Go, C++, Java, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience operating Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale on cloud providers like GCP and AWS.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting.
  • Thorough experience with Linux.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with open-source communities.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex distributed systems problems at the largest scales in the world.
  • Scale our infrastructure and architecture to meet the needs of the platform and its engineers.
  • Use Go to build highly scalable and reliable distributed systems.
  • Build on top of our architecture stack using Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS.
  • Operate large-scale distributed systems globally.
  • Own projects from inception to delivery, including planning, requirements gathering, and collaboration with Product.
  • Mentor and up-level peers, helping junior engineers grow.
