About The Position

Work on the Fusion FMS, which is the Petitioner's latest deployed FMS product, leveraging the latest in integrated avionics systems of the Petitioner's Pro Line Fusion product line; missionizing products originally developed for the Business and Regional Jet market, to support a number of military platforms around the globe. Lead a cross-functional team daily and coordinating regularly with engineering and project management to ensure success of the product and program. Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and software level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and make recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements. Manage aspects of quality, cost, schedule, and scope the various team dynamics present. Manage work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects. Participate in feature development tasks, including design implementation plans, software requirements, software level integration testing. Research, evaluate and recommend investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization's systems products and services.

Requirements

Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Avionics/Aerospace Engineering or related field and at least 8 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role. In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Avionics/Aerospace Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
Must possess at least 5 years of experience developing software using any of the high level programming languages in Safety Critical Embedded software development For e.g. C, C++, Ada, Python and experience using tools such as Rapitest, Rapicover, Vectorcast or similar for timing and coverage analysis.
Must possess at least 5 years of DO-178B/C development experience.
Must possess at least 5 years of experience in Avionics industry.
Must possess at least 2 years of experience of leading a program.
Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
