About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic software engineer to develop applications within our Edge AI Development software platform for edge computing. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills and experience in developing Software-As-A-Service cloud products with emphasis on building web-based applications in a full-stack environment. This role involves developing and deploying software solutions to help our customers build embedded applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of software application development experience and 6 years of full-stack software development.
• Experience with Agile DevOps/SecDevOps/Git SCM software development lifecycle workflow.
• Experience with web development using languages and technologies such as Python, PHP, Angular.js, React.js, JavaScript, Java, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML/YAML.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, Python as an application development and experience with PHP or Python coding frameworks.
• Experience in cloud-based, SAAS application development in a full-stack web application environment using cloud services technologies such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Understanding of cloud-based services for web application services such as DNS, ngnix, load balancers, VPCs and EC2 compute methodologies.
• Strong understanding of linux-based operating systems in a development environment.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with SQL and database design concepts.
• Experience with code development IDEs such as JetBrains and VSCode.
• Experience using Jira, Confuence, Reetro, Asana, Trello or other Agile tracking and documentation platforms.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Familiar in using machine learning development tools and frameworks, such as the MPLAB Machine Learning Development Suite.
• API development experience with OAuth API, Swagger/OpenAPI, Burp Suite, Postman or other REST API tools.
• Familiarity with software Security Development Life Cycle understanding.
• Knowledge of SSL certificate implementation, Websocket, SSH, and TLS encryption methodologies.
• Knowledge of data collection, data preprocessing, and data classification techniques from data lakes, and unstructured data sources.
• System understanding of edge computing architectures, including IoT devices, embedded systems, and real-time processing.
• Familiarity of Laravel, Symphony, Flask, Django, Tiangolo, FastAPI coding frameworks.
• Some understanding of Python AI/ML libraries using TensorFlow/TFLite, Pytorch, Keras, and ONNX.
• Familiar with management systems such as Polarion and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) toolsuite.
• Knowledge of security and privacy considerations in edge computing and cyber security development and analysis methods using ISO-21434 workflow requirements.
• Understanding of Functional Safety Development and analysis methods using ISO-26262 workflow requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing software applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python and C/C++.
• Develop SAAS applications in a cloud environment utilizing AWS cloud services.
• Work closely with product management to help define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
• Design and implementation of cloud-based applications, models and algorithms optimized for edge computing environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company to analyze project requirements and propose innovative solutions.
• Utilize best practices in software development, including code reviews, unit testing, integration and continuous integration.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues.
• Assist with the documentation of software solutions, including technical specifications and user guides.
• Work with customers and provide support to end-users when necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software development languages, architectures and edge computing technologies to ensure our solutions remain at the cutting edge.
