About The Position

Microchip Technology is looking for a qualified Principal Process Engineer (Thin Films/CMP) working the day shift who will sustain and improve Fab-4 Thin Films/Chemical Mechanical Polishing processes. Perform tests to improve yield and reliability, qualify new processes/equipment, improve cycle time, and reduce cost. Analyze, summarize and communicate test results. Support critical quality systems: PFMEA, SPC, MPSP, MSA, and Sustaining Change Control. Troubleshoot equipment and process problems. Rework and disposition non-conforming product lots. Write process specifications and reports. Support Production as required. Knowledge of basic statistics is preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree - Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related discipline
10+ years of experience in Semiconductor CVD/PVD/CMP process engineering
Proficiency in written and oral communication
Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills
Initiative to work independently and keep projects on schedule
Proven reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality a must

Nice To Haves

Strong background in chemistry
Semiconductor technology and/or manufacturing experience
Knowledge of basic statistics is preferred
