Principal Engineer Planning Analyst
About The Position
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer Planning Analyst to join their team. This role can be filled in Melbourne, FL; Oklahoma City, OK or Patuxent River, MD. The position is fully onsite, with no remote work available. The role involves coordinating with technical leadership and cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to manage Training and Support Equipment development, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical objectives are met. This exciting position offers the opportunity to manage cross-functional and horizontal execution for Training & Support Equipment development, develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders, and define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks, including developing an Engineering rhythm. The role also includes serving as a Work Package Manager for Training and Support Equipment disciplines, tracking budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline, participating in CAM status calls, preparing status for and attending weekly status meetings, providing bi-monthly Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) status, supporting stakeholder meetings, reviewing Actual Hours reports for time charging accuracy and alignment with IMS status, supporting the logistics team, generating staffing requirements, documentation, and forecasts, supporting agile alignment to QSST & IMS, adhering to all internal processes for Product Support, and performing schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience, OR Master’s degree, with 3 years’ experience; PhD with 1 year experience
- Experience in project management and/or control account management
- Experience with CAM and EVM methodologies
- Experience in contracts executing full-earned value management
- Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security clearance
