About The Position

Pratt & Whitney’s Materials and Process Engineering organization is seeking an engineer to support the development and implementation of modeling tools and methods for gas turbine engine applications. The successful candidate will join a focused materials modeling team and help develop, implement, and mature materials process and property models and simulations. The role includes computational materials work on material systems relevant to gas turbine engines, with expertise in atomistic simulation techniques. The engineer will assess the maturity, capability, and suitability of modeling tools for business needs and collaborate with technology development, characterization, lifing, and design teams to support manufacturing and development goals. The position also involves leading technical projects, including planning, cost estimation, and execution, and identifying opportunities for external funding, including government contracts. The position is classified as remote, with employees working primarily offsite from home; some onsite presence may be discussed for employees who live near an RTX site.
