About The Position

ASM is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), to lead the strategy, governance, and transformation of its global engineering and product development ecosystem. As a senior individual contributor and architecture authority for ASM’s PLM landscape, this role enables integration across Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Service. The architect defines the future-state PLM architecture, guides enterprise-wide transformation programs, and aligns technology investments with business objectives, engineering processes, and enterprise architecture standards. The role requires deep expertise in Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions—including Teamcenter, Teamcenter Simulation, and Teamcenter Project Portfolio Management (PPM)—and familiarity with engineering authoring tools such as Creo and NX. The architect partners with business and technical leaders, advises executives, governs solution designs, and manages architecture risks and roadmaps across the PLM landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 10–15 years of direct PLM and engineering systems experience, including architecture responsibility for global environments.
  • At least 5 years in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Lead PLM Architecture roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale PLM transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication capabilities.
  • Experience working within complex global manufacturing or semiconductor organizations.
  • Deep practical experience with Siemens Digital Industries Software and Teamcenter, including Teamcenter PDM, Teamcenter Simulation, Teamcenter PPM, Teamcenter Change and Configuration Management, and Active Workspace.
  • Experience with engineering applications, Siemens NX, PTC Creo, CAD integrations, and engineering collaboration platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise integration, SAP S/4HANA, middleware and integration technologies, Digital Thread architecture, Master Data Management, product structures, BOM management, and engineering change processes.
  • Ability to connect engineering, business, and technology strategy into actionable architecture roadmaps.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders globally.
  • Systems-thinking mindset and expertise across the product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex transformations without direct line-management authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor equipment industry experience.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience defining Digital Twin and Smart Manufacturing architectures.
  • Exposure to cloud-enabled engineering platforms and modern integration patterns.
  • TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification, or comparable experience.
  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain ASM’s global PLM architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Establish architecture principles, standards, patterns, and governance for PLM-related platforms.
  • Lead architecture reviews and design authority boards for PLM initiatives and programs.
  • Ensure end-to-end business process alignment across engineering, product development, manufacturing, service, and quality domains.
  • Own architecture decisions for Teamcenter and associated engineering systems.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable solution architectures.
  • Lead solution reviews, architecture assessments, and technical design governance for strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify the application landscape and improve business capabilities through technology modernization.
  • Partner with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality leaders to drive digital engineering initiatives.
  • Define future-state capabilities supporting Digital Thread, Digital Twin, configuration management, product data management, simulation lifecycle management, and engineering change management.
  • Enable integration between Teamcenter and enterprise platforms, including SAP S/4HANA, manufacturing systems, data platforms, and collaboration tools.
  • Advise business executives and senior engineering leadership; facilitate workshops, architecture reviews, and cross-functional solution discussions.
  • Influence strategic technology decisions through data-driven recommendations and business case development.
  • Build partnerships with implementation partners and technology vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Review solution designs for scalability, performance, maintainability, and operational readiness, and support application rationalization.
  • Identify architecture risks and technical debt, and define mitigation strategies across the PLM landscape.
  • Support investment prioritization and technology roadmap planning.
