About The Position

Seeking an experienced Wi-Fi lead who will serve as Technical leader of Low-power Wi-Fi solutions. The role is responsible for defining, owning, and evolving end‑to‑end Wi‑Fi architecture across software, firmware, and system layers, while providing technical leadership across multiple teams and stakeholders. In this role, the individual will drive architecture decisions, performance and power optimization strategies, and next‑generation feature development for Wi‑Fi technologies across products and platforms. He/she will work closely with hardware architects, off-shore software leads, platform teams, product management, OEMs, and ecosystem partners to ensure scalable, low-power, high‑performance, and robust Wi‑Fi solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 15+ years of WiFi Engineering or related work experience.
  • Proven track record, atleast delivering WiFi features in Host and firmware across Android, Linux and RTOS.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving/delivering Low Power WiFi features, proprietary or standard-based.
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide development teams across geos.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end‑to‑end Wi‑Fi software and system architecture, spanning firmware, drivers, host software, OS integration, and platform services
  • Architect low-power scalable solutions for WiFi 4-8 and future standards, , including MAC, PHY interactions, coexistence, and multi‑radio systems
  • Own the delivery of micro-power Wi-Fi stack and KPIs for throughput optimization, latency reduction, roaming, power save, coexistence, and reliability
  • Work cross‑functionally with hardware architects, silicon teams, platform software, product management, and customer engineering
  • Serve as a technical expert in developing and commercializing solutions; participate in design reviews and recommend improvements to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Act as the primary technical authority in architecture and design reviews internally
  • Influence and negotiate with external partners/OEMs/customers to gain buy-in for ideas and align on WiFi implementation plans and milestones to ensure the needs of all stakeholders are met.
  • Drive innovations in area of low power WiFi solutions via standard or proprietary implementations
  • Manage cross-geo and cross-BU prioritization of WiFi deliverables and resources
  • Improve efficiencies in WiFi feature development and QA via use of AI or other means.
