Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 15+ years of structural engineering experience in Power or Industrial projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong expertise in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundations
  • Demonstrated experience in EPC or design-build environments
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical decisions and mentor engineers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Structural Engineer (SE) license
  • Experience as Engineer of Record on large capital projects
  • Proficiency with STAAD, RISA, Enercalc, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • Strong understanding of risk, constructability, and execution strategy

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical authority for structural engineering, providing oversight on complex and high-risk designs
  • Lead engineering standards, best practices, and design consistency across projects
  • Review and approve advanced deliverables including calculations, models, reports, and technical studies
  • Provide strategic input during FEL/FEED, design development, and execution planning
  • Mentor and develop engineers, supporting technical growth across the organization
  • Interface with clients, leadership, and project teams as a trusted advisor
  • Lead resolution of complex engineering challenges and non-standard design conditions
  • Ensure compliance with codes, safety requirements, and quality standards
  • Oversee constructability, material selection, and cost-effective design solutions
  • Support field activities including site walkdowns, construction support, and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate across disciplines to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery
