Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer Circuit Design /Senior Principle Engineer Circuit Design to join our team of creative and diverse engineers within the Electronics and Payloads directorate. The position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 1 years of experience with a PhD (for Principal Engineer)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience, or 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD (for Senior Principle Engineer)
  • Experience designing and testing analog and power circuits
  • Proficiency with PSpice or Simplis/Simetrix or LTSpice and MathCAD
  • Knowledge of control systems and feedback theory
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an SSBI/SCI security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Control Systems or Communications and 5 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment
  • Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret or SSBI/SCI clearance
  • Experienced in power converters/electronics development
  • Experienced in Earned Value Management Systems

Responsibilities

  • Designing, analyzing, and testing high-reliability power and control electronics
  • Conduct circuit design, analysis, and simulations
  • Perform Hardware testing and validation
  • Provide manufacturing test support on deliverable hardware
