About The Position

Mission Technologies is looking for a Principal Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) Collection Software Engineer for an exciting opportunity. A Principal ELSUR Collection Software Engineer is a senior-level technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems used in digital collection systems—particularly those supporting law enforcement and ELSUR (Electronic Surveillance) operations. This is a pipeline requisition intended to gather interest from candidates with this skill set for future opportunities. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Software engineering or related field and 12-15+ years of relevant experience
  • Masters degree in software engineering or related field and 10-13+ years of relevant experience
  • PhD in software engineering or related field and 8-10+ years of relevant experience
  • 12 YOE as a software, application engineer, or developer on computer and database management systems
  • Competence in business application design, database management, and use of programming languages, (C#, C++, Perl, Python, Java Script)
  • Experience in session initiation protocol
  • Must hold active TS/SCI Clearance

  • Prior experience with FBI ELSUR Program
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a close team environment
  • Previous leadership experience or willingness to lead and mentor others
  • BS Degree in Software engineering or related field & 12 YOE
  • Master’s degree in software engineering or related field & 10 YOE
  • PhD Degree in Software engineering or related field & 8 YOE

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensures software standards are met.
