About The Position

This role is for a Principal Electrical Engineer responsible for conceptual design, detailed design, implementation, testing, validation, debugging, documentation, and continuous learning in electrical systems. Responsibilities

  • Implement the strategic vision for advanced electrical system architectures, addressing complex design challenges.
  • Establish technical roadmaps for innovations, ensuring alignment with long-term product strategies.
  • Guide the adoption of emerging technologies to optimize server performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Own high-level design decisions, balancing trade-offs between performance, security, reliability, power efficiency, thermal management, and manufacturability.
  • Define component selection strategies and system-wide optimization frameworks.
  • Lead high-impact initiatives from concept to production, leveraging advanced modeling, simulation, and design analysis.
  • Provide expert consultation in system-wide design reviews, setting guidelines for CAD integration and board layout.
  • Address escalations for highly complex component issues, driving strategic decisions on quality, compliance, and integration.
  • Serve as a thought leader on the integration of electrical subsystems, establishing best practices.
  • Implement enterprise-level validation strategies, ensuring electrical system performance, reliability, and efficiency meet industry standards.
  • Assist in implementing automation-driven validation platforms.
  • Lead and mentor teams in executing test plans, analyzing prototypes, and resolving hardware challenges.
  • Provide risk assessment and failure analysis, ensuring electrical systems meet stringent technical and regulatory standards.
  • Lead complex sustaining engineering activities, resolving customer escalations, performing root cause analysis, qualifying alternate components, and addressing end-of-life issues.
  • Drive the development of enterprise-wide technical documentation frameworks.
  • Implement documentation best practices to streamline product iterations, accelerate development cycles, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead formal design reviews, acting as the primary technical authority on electrical design trade-offs.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, driving research and development efforts.
  • Participate in expert engineering communities, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Drive high-impact innovation initiatives, leveraging deep domain expertise to influence long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Shape the compliance strategy for electrical hardware systems, ensuring alignment with global safety, EMC, and environmental regulations.
  • Advise leadership on compliance risks and opportunities, driving early integration of regulatory requirements.
  • Lead organizational readiness for regulatory change by interpreting emerging global standards.
  • Develop internal tools to manage compliance documentation.
  • Manage and provide direction on timelines, deliverables, and budgets for critical high-impact projects.
  • Anticipate and plan for shifts in resources or timelines based on changing business priorities.
  • Influence cross-functional leaders and external stakeholders to gain alignment on strategic objectives.
  • Foster partnerships with key business leaders, stakeholders, and/or customers.
