About The Position

Mercury Systems is offering a Principal Electrical Engineer a fulfilling career where you will be able to see the direct impact of your designs in deployed systems with true end-to-end ownership, operating in a smaller, highly technical team. Engineers here directly influence architecture, design decisions and system-level tradeoffs across the systems. You will participate in developing mission-critical embedded computing, high-speed digital systems, advanced FPGA solutions, secure processing and rugged electronics supporting operations across air, land, sea, and space. In this role, you will be a valuable team member, impacting the long-term technical direction of the organization, establish engineering standards, drive innovation, and ensure the delivery of high-reliability, right-the-first-time solutions for some of the most demanding defense and aerospace applications.

Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Typically requires 6+ years relevant electrical design including complex embedded digital hardware from concept through production
Experience with high-speed and high-performance interfaces, memory technologies, and next generation interconnects
Experience with signal integrity

Responsibilities

Participate and support in the execution of complex digital hardware programs from concept through production
Architect advanced electrical circuit solutions involving secure processing, storage, networking, FPGAs, high-speed interfaces, and extreme environment electronics
Develop advanced high-speed digital design including 400G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen5+, DDR5+, and modern interconnects
Contribute to engineering best practices, design guidelines, and process improvements that scale across the organization
Execute the development and verification of highly complex circuits, modules, and systems
