At Bayer Crop Science, innovation in seed production directly shapes the resilience, efficiency, and sustainability of global agriculture. As Principal Electrical Engineer, you play a critical role in advancing this mission by leading the design and integration of electrical and control systems that enable scalable, high-throughput, and production-ready innovation solutions. As a senior technical leader within the Seed Production Innovation (SPI) Technology organization, you lead electrical engineering direction for complex, multidisciplinary systems from early concept through system development and deployment. You define electrical architecture, control strategies, and system integration approaches that ensure solutions are robust, safe, and transferable to production environments. In this role, you influence system design decisions by evaluating alternatives, defining tradeoffs, and aligning technical direction with broader system requirements, including performance, reliability, scalability, cost, and maintainability. You work across engineering and science disciplines to ensure electrical systems are effectively integrated into automated platforms that deliver measurable operational value. Working closely with mechanical, software, imaging, and biological teams, you guide the development of novel equipment and automation systems and ensure successful transition from prototype through validation and deployment. Your success in this role depends on strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate complex engineering challenges into structured, executable solutions.
