About The Position

We are seeking a Principal DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong background in DevSecOps, particularly in building secure pipelines for safety-critical, air-gapped environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with containerization, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and various Linux distributions. This position also involves cross-functional leadership and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline
  • 8+ years of DevSecOps experience
  • Python & Yaml experience
  • Experience with secure DevSecOps pipelines for safety-critical, air-gapped environments
  • Experience with Containerization & Kubernetes (on-prem, disconnected operations)
  • Experience with Build environment Tools (make & CMake)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm)
  • Experience with Linux (RHEL, Yocto, Buildroot)
  • Bitbucket & Gitlab Experience
  • Cross-functional leadership across engineering, security, and IT teams
  • Ability to work onsite 100%

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Proficient with Ansible
  • CI/CD integration with certification artifacts
  • Secure networking & zero-trust architectures
  • Embedded & Real-Time Systems enablement (RTOS, flight software)
  • Familiarity with (DO-178 A-C)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Build secure DevSecOps pipelines for safety-critical, air-gapped environments.
  • Implement and manage containerization and Kubernetes in on-premise, disconnected operational settings.
  • Utilize build environment tools such as make and CMake.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Manage and configure Linux environments including RHEL, Yocto, and Buildroot.
  • Leverage Bitbucket and Gitlab for version control and collaboration.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership across engineering, security, and IT teams.
  • Communicate and document complex technical designs.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Travel up to 10%.
