Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Developer Advocate to join the Annapurna Labs team, focusing on AWS Machine Learning accelerators like Trainium and the Neuron Software Development Kit (SDK). This role is at the forefront of AWS innovation in ML hardware acceleration, aiming to drive awareness, trust, and adoption of Trainium and the Neuron SDK across the global ML developer ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering, ML research, or systems performance, coupled with a passion for public speaking and community engagement. They should possess deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to operate independently across various technical communities, with immediate credibility among ML practitioners, researchers, and performance engineers. The role involves being the external face of AWS in ML hardware acceleration, championing open-source AI, hardware-software co-design, and the future of ML infrastructure. As a technical champion, the advocate will create and deliver content ranging from tutorials to deep-dive optimization guides. As a community builder, they will engage with ML practitioners to understand challenges, represent their voice internally, and translate insights into product roadmap impact. As an ecosystem strategist, they will build partnerships with open-source projects and communities to ensure Trainium's visibility and credibility. The Annapurna Labs team is responsible for silicon and software innovation for AWS customers, covering disciplines like silicon engineering, hardware design, software, and operations, and has contributed to AWS Nitro, ENA, EFA, Graviton, EC2 F1 FPGA instances, and now AI/ML accelerators like Neuron SDK, Inferentia, and Trainium.
