About The Position

Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) is actively seeking an experienced Database Administrator to help drive strategic database initiatives in support of business growth both in the US and globally. This is a highly visible, dynamic role that will position the company for the growth and scale needed in a highly competitive market. This role will be filled in Merrimack, NH. The team supports a variety of complex applications serving a diverse set of businesses and customers directly. The database environments are extremely critical to success and vitality, requiring a unique technical aptitude. As a Principal Database Administrator, you will provide technical vision and support over critical projects as part of the strategy to expand database service offerings. You will be part of a broader team that maintains the overall technical strategy and integrated roadmap.

Requirements

  • 10+ plus years performing Oracle 19c and 12g administration
  • Expertise in Performance tuning, scripting and automation
  • Expertise in Golden Gate replication on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
  • Significant background in solving complex technology challenges
  • A strong background working in large-scale software projects
  • Expertise analyzing, troubleshooting and performance tuning databases and SQL queries
  • Expertise with Oracle Golden Gate, database replication and data movement strategies & tools
  • Performing design evaluations/ recommendations for database migration strategies to the cloud
  • Advanced communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to operationalize solutions and ideas into standard operating procedures (SOP)

Nice To Haves

  • SQL Server administration experience
  • Working hands-on knowledge/support of Postgres, Yugabyte, Aerospike, SQL MI, Snowflake
  • Knowledge and expertise in cloud, hybrid cloud technology
