About The Position

AltIQ is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to transform alternative investment data into relevant insights and intelligence. The role analyzes structured and unstructured investment data, develops quantitative models, identifies patterns, and creates analytical frameworks to help investors understand funds, managers, and investment opportunities. Data sources include private placement memoranda (PPMs), prospectuses, performance reports, manager disclosures, and other investment-related materials. Working directly with Data Engineering, Applied AI, Product, and Business teams, the Principal Data Scientist will develop proprietary insights and analytics for capabilities across the AltIQ platform, potentially including benchmarking, fund comparisons, manager scoring, market intelligence, performance analysis, risk analysis, and investment research tools. This is a hands-on role focused on complex analytical problems, messy real-world data, and turning information into actionable intelligence. The position is part of Fidelity Labs, Fidelity Investments’ in-house FinTech incubator, which builds and tests new businesses, products, and services. Fidelity’s onsite working model is undergoing a phased rollout, and onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve.
