Principal Data Scientist
About The Position
The Principal Data Scientist collaborates with cross-functional partners on product and business problems and serves as a strategic partner through clear, structured analysis. The role applies quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data presentation to develop business strategies and address major challenges. It develops and tests hypotheses using analytical methods, frameworks, and technical approaches; identifies opportunities to improve products and the business; and influences roadmaps through insights and recommendations. The role partners with cross-functional teams to inform and execute strategy, forecasts and monitors product metrics to measure the success of product efforts, and uses data to shape product development, quantify opportunities, identify challenges, and assess the value of products. It also communicates insights through storytelling to broad audiences, including company leadership.
Responsibilities

- Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data presentation to develop business strategies and address business challenges.
- Develop and test hypotheses using analytical approaches, methodologies, frameworks, and technical approaches.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve products and the business, and influence roadmaps with insights and recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to inform, influence, and execute strategy decisions.
- Forecast and monitor key product metrics to understand trends and measure the success of product efforts.
- Use data to shape product development, quantify opportunities, identify challenges, and assess the value products bring to people and businesses.
- Communicate insights broadly through storytelling, including to company leadership teams.
