In response to Oracle’s continued growth and increased concurrent data center design and delivery programs, Oracle is recruiting a Principal Data Center Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership across mission critical data center projects. This role serves as a principal mechanical design lead and owner-side technical authority responsible for ensuring that Oracle’s data center infrastructure is designed, evaluated, and delivered in alignment with Oracle’s performance, reliability, redundancy, scalability, and operational requirements. The role interfaces directly with Oracle’s internal stakeholders, colocation and data center partners, design consultants, equipment manufacturers, and cross-functional engineering teams. The Principal Data Center Mechanical Engineer will support projects across site selection, technical due diligence, new construction, phased expansions, retrofits, upgrades, and high-density compute deployments. The position requires deep mechanical engineering expertise, strong mission critical facility experience, and the ability to translate Oracle’s IT equipment cooling needs into clear, enforceable building infrastructure requirements. This role will have particular focus on mechanical infrastructure strategy, liquid cooling, owner’s performance requirements, design standards, design reviews, equipment qualification, and cross-discipline coordination with electrical, controls, architecture, structural, construction, hardware, networking, operations, and commissioning teams.
