We're seeking someone to join our New Technology Controls team as a Vice President in Technology Risk to lead the design, coordination, and implementation of technology controls for Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Low Code / No Code (LCNC), and GenAI platforms and use cases. This role will be pivotal in steering the strategic direction of New Technology initiatives, ensuring technology controls are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry security guidance, and current threat landscape.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
  • Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, operations, technology risk, cybersecurity, or AI governance, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of post quantum cryptography, LCNC, and GenAI / Agentic AI.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing technology controls in complex, regulated environments.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive complex initiatives to successful completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, or governance committees related to emerging technologies is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and establish an effective technology control framework that aligns with industry best practices.
  • Ensure control alignment with regulatory requirements, governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Oversee the development of policies, standards, and procedures related to proposed technology controls.
  • Provide expert understanding of regulatory landscapes, threats, and risks associated with the new technologies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified threats and risks.
  • Work closely with Enterprise architecture, engineering, security design, legal, and compliance teams to ensure comprehensive control measures.
  • Facilitate cross-functional initiatives to enhance PQC and LCNC control capabilities and address emerging risks.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with PQC and LCNC technologies and their applications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to PQC and LCNC technology controls.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of PQC and LCNC control measures and address any compliance gaps.
  • Partner with governance committees, 1LOD, and 2LOD to ensure use cases meet firmwide governance gates and SecArch approvals
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technology control professionals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in achieving their professional goals.
