About The Position

Praescient Analytics is seeking a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer, SME to provide high-level technical expertise to the Office of the Undersecretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)). This senior-level role is responsible for the analysis, assessment, and experimentation of advanced cyber capabilities to ensure U.S. technological superiority. You will lead the evaluation of innovative offensive and defensive cyber technologies, ensuring they are operationally feasible and secure against peer and near-peer adversaries.

Requirements

  • 15 years of technical expertise related to cyber and cyberspace test, evaluation, and engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in project management for major technology programs.
  • 10 years of experience supporting the analysis, assessment, demonstration, testing, and/or experimentation of cyber capabilities.
  • 10 years of experience evaluating and validating sensor system performance and operational feasibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, Information Technology, cybersecurity, or a related science or engineering field.
  • Must possess at least one relevant industry credential, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CASP+, OSCP, GIAC, or CCSP.
  • Must have a Final TS/SCI clearance and be Special Access Program (SAP) eligible.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Military or Department of War (DoW) experience.
  • Foundational knowledge in Electromagnetics and Radio Frequencies (EM/RF) as they relate to cyber sensor systems.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex technical concepts to senior Pentagon stakeholders and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Direct the research, development, integration, and testing of innovative technologies for both offensive and defensive cyber operations.
  • Evaluate and validate sensor system performance, effectiveness, and operational feasibility for complex cyber architectures.
  • Provide over 10 years of project management expertise to guide technical tasks and ensure mission-level integration.
  • Recommend and conduct assessments to determine system performance risks and identify ranges of adversarial responses.
  • Support the analysis, assessment, demonstration, and testing of cyber capabilities to satisfy Multi-Service and Combatant Command (CCMD) priorities.
  • Produce high-quality technical summaries and documentation to inform high-stakes leadership decisions.
  • Ensure all systems and processes meet certification requirements per applicable Department of War (DoW) Directives and Instructions.
