We have an excellent opportunity for a Principal Cost & Scheduling Analyst professional to join our RMD OSQ Finance team, within the Naval Power programs supporting GSCM finance for East Programs. The ability to be self-sufficient as well as operating in a team environment, supporting both the Functional organizations as well as ensuring program financial commitments are met will be fundamental to success in this role.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experienced with desktop computer skills, particularly in the use of the MS Office suite with an emphasis in Excel.
  • Experience with finance tools.
  • Experience comparing actuals vs budget and explaining variances.

Nice To Haves

  • Operations and/or GSCM experience with Baselining, Estimates at Completion (EACs), Program costs & schedule tracking, proposals, and sales & rate forecasting.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate complex information concisely to a cross functional team.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and highly organized.
  • Innovative, strategic thinker.
  • Demonstrated experience with tools such as Business Warehouse, PRISM, and Operations/Material dashboard.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop applied solutions and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and control of contractual cost and schedules requiring validated cost/schedule control systems.
  • Perform financial analyses such as funding profiles, base forecasts, GSCM sales outlooks, and variance analysis.
  • GSCM duties including: monthly tracking of functional budgets, monthly Earned Value Management execution and analysis, Estimates at Completion (EAC) preparation, Program review preparation and presentation.
  • Proactively working with the GSCM Program Leads in maintaining and analyzing portfolio performance.
  • Employ technical knowledge of finance and program control, problem solving, communication and leadership skills.
  • Work independently as well as partner cross-functionally with the GSCM leads, Control Account Managers (CAMs), OSQ finance and the various program offices in a fast-paced environment.
