About The Position

Provide consulting services to clients on implementation-related projects in a project leadership, strategic, or executive capacity. Work directly with the Epic team to enable sales opportunities, support solution development, and provide exceptional solution delivery based upon the needs of Nordic clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years Epic implementation experience required in a director or project management-level role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service attitude and skillset.
  • Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines and monitor one’s own work product.
  • Proven ability to thrive in and foster an existing team-oriented culture rooted in respect, high ethics and integrity, teamwork, camaraderie, collaboration, and effective communication.
  • Solution-oriented; skilled in grasping the essentials in complex situations, anticipating client needs, and conceptualizing both problems and solutions.
  • Experienced in talking comfortably with and presenting to individuals at all levels of an organization including C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one Epic certification preferred, but not required.
  • 15+ years of experience with healthcare systems.
  • Direct experience working for Epic preferred.
  • Rev Cycle experience and/or new Epic add-on module experience preferred.
  • Experience in sales preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, oversees, and executes implementations and strategic initiatives spanning multiple workstreams across the client site including but not limited to: Healthcare transformation initiatives, Strategic implementation, affiliate, and education projects, Operational, clinical, revenue cycle, and technical readiness, Third-party selection, integration, migration, and cutover, Pre-go-live activities and preparation, Long-term support strategies.
  • Provides proactive strategic advisory guidance to Nordic clients based on Nordic best practices, previous experience, and input from Implementation Services leadership.
  • Manages projects, portfolios, and programs and delivers on time, on budget, and with positive outcomes aligned with customer’s strategic plan, quality metrics, and KPIs.
  • Ensures overarching initiative health and acts as a main point of contact for all project-related escalations.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of detailed strategy documents, project and communication plans, and risk/decision trackers.
  • Manages overall discovery, configuration, and testing processes.
  • Manages scope, change order, and change management processes.
  • Manages project budget and anticipates necessary changes; clearly communicates the impact of project changes to client budget.
  • Defines and tracks milestones in concert with client’s needs.
  • Use, update, and customize client and Nordic-provided tools throughout project life cycle.
  • Manages the creation of polished project deliverables and communications.
  • Present with confidence and well-polished demeanor; facilitate executive-level meetings with a high degree of independence.
  • Manage large and strategic meetings effectively.
  • Deliver regular status reports; oversee project close, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer.
  • Manages cross-functional teams, investing in the success and quality across Nordic and the client.
  • Work with Engagement Advisor to interview and identify project team members, as needed.
  • Assists with onboarding and team orientation.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor team, resolve conflicts, maintain positive team morale, and deliver direct and timely feedback based upon project work and performance.
  • Assist with creation of Nordic solution materials, such as toolkit documentation and proposals.
  • Assists in aligning Nordic’s solutions with client needs and opportunities.
  • Participates in discussions on client needs with Implementation Services leadership for new solution creation.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices with the Implementation Services team to help improve our solutions, tools, and recommendations based on learnings.
  • Serve as lead advisor or project management consultant resource for client opportunities.
  • Work with Implementation Services leadership to build sales presentations and collateral and present to client.
  • Serve as a thought leader for the service line, creating webcasts, podcasts, white papers, and blog posts to educate prospective and existing clients.
  • Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested.
