About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Principal Construction Engineer to join their Construction Management Division, focusing on airport projects in Florida. This role is crucial for managing construction contracts for facility and airfield projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract specifications. The position is part of Parsons' Critical Infrastructure team, which has over 80 years of experience in designing and delivering essential infrastructure globally. Requirements

  • Engineering degree from an accredited university or applicable work experience in lieu of education for a total of 12+ years of experience.
  • Professionalism, experience and/or education applicable for position.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities, interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to express ideas both verbally and in writing to be understood by general audience.
  • Ability to work with varied disciplines and coordinate work with other departments or personnel.
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate and resolve project related issues to mitigate problems.
  • Maintain integrity and ethical behavior during Construction Division Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of construction of airport infrastructure projects with multiple personnel involved.
  • Ensures construction projects are delivered complying with contract documents, budget and schedule.
  • Reports to management on progress of the projects and all issues during construction.
  • Manage project change orders to reduce unnecessary scope increases.
  • Closes projects as required providing necessary documentation.
  • Enforcing compliance to plans and specifications by reviewing inspector’s reports daily, Resident Engineer reports done weekly and generate Non-Compliance Repots readily to document non-compliance issues.
  • Constructability Reviews performed on future projects to identify and verify changes to potential issues that may impact effective project delivery.
