About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Commercial Auto Relationship Manager to join their Southern California-based Auto banking team. In this role, you will develop, retain, and grow highly complex client relationships by understanding client needs, responding quickly, communicating proactively, managing expectations, and soliciting feedback. You will act as a subject matter expert to guide and influence others in growing relationships. You will lead highly complex and substantial cash flow, real estate loans, and other industry-specific solutions with enterprise impact, high risk, or significant scope by analyzing financials, presenting to clients, and coordinating with internal stakeholders. You will lead the strategy and resolution for the full suite of complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo to commercial clients, engaging product organizations to develop long-term, large-scale client-specific solutions. You will provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding Commercial Banking Relationship Management company-wide strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations. You will strategically lead all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise to improve processes and risk control, resolve client issues while achieving Wells Fargo’s business objectives, and represent the company externally as an expert. You will act as a mentor for less experienced colleagues. You will drive relationship planning activities to deliver the full suite of solutions and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines by keeping information current in relevant systems. You will strategically lead and support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients by cultivating relationships through existing networks. You will partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide vision, leadership, and expertise on client and market needs to enable large-scale companywide strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • Completion of formal credit training program
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services, such as commercial lending and treasury management
  • Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships, building and retaining long-term client relationships
  • Experience developing and maintaining external and internal partnerships
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position.
  • State registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply.
  • Meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.
  • Obtaining FINRA Series 63 and Series 79, or equivalent must be completed within 180-days of date of hire if not immediately available to transfer upon hire.
  • Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory
  • For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required.
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements.
  • Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
  • Individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer.
  • Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents
