This role focuses on Cloud & Virtualization Infrastructure, Containerization & Orchestration, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Development & Automation (IaC, Scripting & Programming, CI/CD & DevOps Integration), Application & Data Management (Modern API Architectures, Data Governance & Privacy, Web Stack Fundamentals), Systems Integration & Observability (APM, Middleware & Data Plumbing, Structured Data & Logging, Full-Stack Troubleshooting), and Architectural & Consultative Skills (Solution Design & Documentation, Cross-Functional Communication, Technical Discovery).

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of networking constructs in AWS, Azure, and GCP, specifically regarding traffic routing, VPC/VNet peering, and private connectivity.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes (K8s) management, including namespaces, ingress controllers, service meshes, and pod-to-pod communication.
  • Understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), virtual appliances, transparent proxying, and traffic steering.
  • Practical experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for cloud environment deployment and management.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go for API interaction, automation, and data transformation.
  • Understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Expertise in modern API architectures (RESTful, GraphQL), including authentication protocols like OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
  • Knowledge of data governance, classification, and redaction techniques for sensitive data.
  • Understanding of web stack fundamentals including Load Balancers, CDN logic, and SSL/TLS termination.
  • Experience with observability frameworks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Datadog).
  • Knowledge of middleware and data plumbing concepts (message brokers, webhooks, enterprise service buses).
  • Ability to manage and transform structured data formats (JSON, XML, YAML).
  • Advanced skills in full-stack troubleshooting, including request tracing and packet analysis.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
  • Skill in cross-functional communication between technical teams.
  • Expertise in technical discovery workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of virtual appliances, transparent proxying, and how to steer traffic through inspection or management points.
  • Practical experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to deploy and manage complex cloud environments at scale.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go for interacting with APIs, automating repetitive tasks, and transforming data between systems.
  • Understanding of modern deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and how to inject automated workflows into the software development lifecycle.
  • Expertise in how RESTful and GraphQL APIs function, including headers, payload structures, and authentication protocols like OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
  • Knowledge of data discovery, classification, and redaction techniques to manage PII, PHI, and intellectual property.
  • Understanding of modern web architectures, including Load Balancers, CDN logic, and SSL/TLS termination.
  • Experience with observability frameworks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Datadog) to monitor application health and performance.
  • Knowledge of how to connect disparate applications through message brokers, webhooks, and enterprise service buses.
  • Ability to manage and transform structured data formats (JSON, XML, YAML) to ensure seamless communication between integrated software platforms.
  • Advanced skills in tracing requests across microservices and using packet analysis to identify application-layer bottlenecks.
  • The ability to translate business requirements into High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
  • Skill in bridging the gap between different technical silos, such as Networking, DevOps, and Application Development teams.
  • Expertise in facilitating workshops to uncover a customer’s current state, technical pain points, and success criteria for a project.
