Principal Cloud Architect
About The Position
Partners with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design, demonstrate, and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives customer consumption and adoption of Oracle Cloud services through discovery, design, and deployment. Focuses on helping customers migrate VMware estates to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Oracle Cloud VMware Solution (OCVS), and identifying opportunities to modernize applications and infrastructure using OCI services. Assesses workload dependencies and develops migration approaches that support data center migrations, consolidation, and full data center exits. This is a highly complex, non-routine role applying advanced technical and business skills. The architect serves as a leading technical contributor for customers and sales, may mentor others, and may interact with C-level leaders. Responsibilities
- Engage with strategic customers and build leadership relationships at multiple levels to design and implement solutions.
- Gather customer requirements, develop architectures, and translate business needs into solutions.
- Implement solutions when needed and help ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting.
- Deliver highly customized product and application presentations and demonstrations to customers, at conferences, and at events.
- Support customers from proof of concept through production deployment through resource configuration, planning, and customer education and training.
- Create and distribute technical assets, including white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations.
- Contribute technical cloud solutions and customer success expertise to customers and sales teams.
- Identify gaps and enhancements and influence engineering roadmaps for customer-driven features.
- Provide direction and mentoring to others when needed.
