The Mission We are seeking an exceptional Principal Architect to join our growing Cloud Architecture & Engineering team. The right candidate is someone who has deep expertise in cloud architecture and is passionate about working with our customers, partners, and colleagues to drive innovation forward. Your mission will be to work alongside Caylent’s Engineers, Architects, Sales, and Project Managers to deliver AWS solutions across our diverse and forward-thinking customer base. You’ll work with the latest technologies and support customers looking to bring cutting-edge ideas to market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an Architect in enterprise environments, preferably in a consulting capacity.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical objectives and solutions while cultivating professional client relationships.
  • Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking across business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Strong expertise in serverless development using API Gateway, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, and CloudFront.
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS environments and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Advanced experience with DevOps automation, including containerization, API management, and multi-cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical advisor and thought leader across multiple workstreams and strategic customer engagements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business goals and design high-impact, cloud solutions.
  • Lead discovery sessions, create and present technical artifacts, and define long-term architectural strategy.
  • Guide small teams or oversee larger teams through implementation and delivery.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and provide architectural direction across internal and external projects.
  • Create and share public-facing content that showcases Caylent’s innovation and technical leadership.
  • Support pre-sales through proposal development, scoping, and technical estimation.
  • Mentor Architects and Engineers across projects and practices to elevate technical execution and growth.
  • Represent Caylent with delivery excellence and deep technical leadership.
