Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master's Degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics or similar fields of study.
  • 5+ years' experience in a role focused full-time on procurement or contract negotiation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for negotiation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter authorities.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic environment that requires a high degree of multitasking with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years' experience as a Senior Category Supplier Manager at a semiconductor company.
  • 3+ years working in indirect procurement procuring software and/or professional services.
  • Proven experience managing and negotiating complex contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers, crafting strategies to ensure a robust and efficient supply chain.
  • Set strategy and direction for Micron globally, working with members of Micron's regional procurement teams at Micron sites to implement strategies.
  • Source solutions and services, including research on software, IT hardware, and various service offerings.
  • Operate within established processes to carry out RFx activities and demand management.
  • Build category strategies to drive savings, value, assurance of supply, quality, and supplier performance within the assigned category.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers and partner with the Legal team to complete contracts.
  • Manage Micron’s relationship with key suppliers, holding them accountable, resolving issues, and improving supplier performance.
