About The Position

R1 RCM Holdco, Inc. is seeking a Principal Azure Cloud and Databricks Solutions Architect in Murray, UT. This role involves building and optimizing databases, writing code for data extraction, transformation, and loading, architecting and optimizing data processing pipelines using Databricks, and implementing data quality checks. The architect will also troubleshoot software and data issues, establish data governance best practices, and design and deploy cloud-based applications on Azure, focusing on performance and cost efficiency. The position requires leveraging Azure services for enhanced application capabilities and seamless integration. The architect will spearhead the design and development of scalable software solutions using Python, Spark, Scala, and Databricks, define technical strategies aligned with business goals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
• 6 years of experience with Cloud computing with Azure or AWS.
• 6 years of experience utilizing Agile, DevOps to deploy solutions to the cloud using GitHub actions.
• 6 years of experience with CI/CD.
• 6 years of experience with Cloud data engineering, including designing, developing, and testing.
• 6 years of experience maintaining data pipelines and multi-tier object-oriented applications including Scala & Python.
• 5 years of experience utilizing Spark, building data pipelines, data governance, data security, and data compliance.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins.
• 4 years of experience utilizing Terraform to deploy infrastructure.
• 4 years of experience with Docker.
• 2 years of experience utilizing Databricks.
• 2 years of experience building databases.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize databases for performance and efficiency.
• Write code to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
• Architect and optimize complex data processing pipelines utilizing Databricks.
• Implement data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and data-related issues.
• Establish and promote best practices for data governance, security, and compliance, ensuring that R1’s data infrastructure remains robust and resilient.
• Design and deploy robust cloud-based applications on the Azure platform.
• Improve performance and cost efficiency of cloud-based applications.
• Leverage the full spectrum of Azure services to enhance application capabilities and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Spearhead the architectural design and development of highly scalable software solutions using Python, Spark, Scala, and Databricks.
• Define and implement technical strategies that align with business goals and ensure future scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation, making a significant impact on R1's success.
