About The Position
Ascidian Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Principal Associate Scientist to join their team. This role will focus on designing, validating, executing, and interpreting experiments to enhance the therapeutic performance of designer RNA editing molecules. The scientist will also contribute to the characterization of drug candidates to support Ascidian’s collaboration with Roche.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Bio. Chem. or related field and 3 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in RNA therapeutics with a focus on pre-mRNA splicing and protein translation.
- Experience designing and cloning RNA exon-editing molecules.
- Experience designing assays to measure RNA editing.
- Experience with optimization and preparation of custom Illumina libraries.
- Experience with bioinformatic analysis of libraries.
- Experience with cell culture, ddPCR, qPCR, and protein extraction and characterization by JESS and western blot.
- Experience with Sanger sequence analysis.
- Experience using sequence design and analysis software.
