About The Position
Ascidian Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Principal Associate Scientist to design, validate, execute, and interpret experiments that improve the therapeutic performance of designer RNA editing molecules. The role also contributes to characterization of drug candidates in support of Ascidian’s Roche Collaboration.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field and 3 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in RNA therapeutics, with a focus on pre-mRNA splicing and protein translation.
- Experience designing and cloning RNA exon-editing molecules and designing assays to measure RNA editing.
- Experience optimizing and preparing custom Illumina libraries and performing bioinformatic analysis of the libraries.
- Experience with cell culture, ddPCR, qPCR, protein extraction, and protein characterization by JESS and western blot.
- Experience with Sanger sequence analysis.
- Experience using sequence design and analysis software.
