About The Position

The Anti Money Laundering Program Management Office (AML PMO) is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Principal Associate in Project Management. This role sits within the AML tower of the Enterprise Risk Organization (ERO). As a Principal Associate, you will lead complex workstreams to implement innovations and enhancements to AML Investigator platforms and tools. In this exciting role, you will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company. This role will be responsible for building relationships across lines of business and partner teams in Capital One’s Tech and Product organizations. You will serve as an important culture carrier for the organization, modeling the right behaviors and creating a shared sense of purpose, leadership, and accountability with and for the team. You will foster the culture of AML and be a critical piece to the team vision and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 Years of Project Management experience
  • At least 1 year of experience using PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • At least 1 year of experience using Excel or Google Sheets

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • 3+ years of experience in Excel or Google Sheets
  • 3+ years of experience in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Project Management Professional, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • Direct experience with similar teams is heavily preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and execution of large-scale projects and routines, including change management, data management and complex governance functions.
  • Oversee multi-faceted workstreams and day-to-day activities, ensuring alignment with delivery roadmaps.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members, providing regular updates on project health, risks, and strategic outcomes.
  • Lead the delivery of proactive solutions for program milestones, dependency management and risk mitigation.
