Principal Architect, Solution Architecture

CencoraPhiladelphia, PA

About The Position

The Principal Architect will define and guide the solution architecture for an identity lifecycle management ecosystem. This role extends beyond administration of identity applications. It combines deep SailPoint Identity Security Cloud expertise with enterprise architecture, integration, identity data strategy, analytics, and user-centered experience design. The architect will help establish the technical foundation for an identity platform that connects external systems and applications, supports an identity data fabric, and enables internally developed agentic AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hands-on architecture experience with SailPoint, with specific expertise in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).
  • Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, identity governance, access-request workflows, approvals, provisioning, and connected-system architecture.
  • Experience designing enterprise solution architectures that integrate cloud platforms, applications, APIs, data sources, and security services.
  • Deep understanding of data connectivity and the movement of identity data between an identity platform and external systems.
  • Experience designing data platforms, data lakes, data fabrics, analytics foundations, or comparable enterprise data architectures.
  • Ability to connect identity architecture with data, analytics, automation, and user experience needs rather than treating identity as a standalone application.
  • Ability to explain architecture tradeoffs, document decisions, and guide cross-functional teams from concept through implementation.
  • Experience operating as a senior technical leader in complex, matrixed enterprise environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying AI, generative AI, or agentic AI concepts to enterprise workflows, identity, security, or access management.
  • Experience architecting context-aware assistants, workflow agents, or API-based integrations between AI services and enterprise data sources.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar data and analytics platforms.
  • Experience designing experience layers, portals, or conversational interfaces over identity services and data.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud security, privacy, data governance, and responsible AI considerations.
  • Experience leading architecture across multiple product, platform, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the target architecture and technical roadmap for an enterprise identity lifecycle management platform built around SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).
  • Design how SailPoint ISC connects with external platforms, enterprise applications, authoritative sources, and downstream identity and access services.
  • Define scalable patterns for identity data ingestion, connectivity, normalization, governance, access, and reuse across the identity ecosystem.
  • Guide the development of an identity data lake and broader identity data fabric that supports analytics and experience-layer capabilities.
  • Partner with data and engineering teams to use existing enterprise platforms, including Databricks and Lina, for identity data, analytics, and solution delivery.
  • Architect user experiences that translate identity data and workflows into clear, efficient interactions for employees, approvers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Shape identity-focused agentic AI use cases, including assistants that understand user context, identify requested application access, initiate access requests, and route approvals.
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions for identity and AI capabilities, with emphasis on developing differentiated internal capabilities where appropriate.
  • Create architecture standards, reusable integration patterns, reference designs, and decision documentation for identity lifecycle solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership across identity, access, data, connected systems, analytics, automation, and user experience domains.
  • Collaborate with security, IAM, data, engineering, application, and business partners to align architecture with enterprise requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Communicate complex architecture decisions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders and influence implementation across multiple teams.
