About The Position

Snowflake is looking for a seasoned Manufacturing Industry Architect with deep, hands-on experience in designing and delivering transformation initiatives powered by data, analytics, and AI. The ideal candidate will have worked directly with manufacturing organizations to modernize operations, connect enterprise and industrial data, and translate business priorities into scalable technical architectures and business outcomes. This role involves acting as a visionary and innovative industry expert, applying a successful track record of architecting, building, and taking solutions to market across the Manufacturing ecosystem and critical customer workloads.

Requirements

10+ years of architecture experience building, consulting to, and/or implementing technology for Manufacturing business units and / or Manufacturing Companies
Expert in Manufacturing data topics and well-versed in the overall challenges and opportunities impacting the Manufacturing industry, with the ability to map data requirements and processes for major functional areas (Supply Chain, IT/OT, Digital Twin, etc.)
Ability to consultatively engage with customers to understand pain points, challenges and come up with right fit solution architecture and help them build the same using latest data and AI technologies
Broad range of experience with technical and design direction including large-scale database and/or data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics and public cloud technologies
Understanding of Data Science & Machine Learning concepts and applications in the Manufacturing industry
Familiarity with key sources of enterprise data and technologies including ERPs, CRMs, SCMs, MES, SCADA, QMS, LIMS and others.
Outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to architects, engineers, operators, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
Experience working with senior executives and an ability to quickly establish credibility with senior leadership
Bachelor’s Degree required
The ability to travel to customer sites, industry events and other related events as required.
Strong knowledge of SQL, Python with hands-on experience is required.
3+ years of Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) customer facing architecture development experience

Nice To Haves

Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
Experience in Java, Scala, or other languages is a plus

Responsibilities

Partner with customers on strategic opportunities, driving customer engagement in strategic deals where industry expertise can help drive Snowflake adoption.
Build trusted relationships with executives and enterprise data architects at customer organizations, acting as a trusted advisor who blends business and technical context to advance opportunities.
Innovate and design solutions by translating manufacturing use cases, challenges, and opportunities into data-driven and AI-powered solutions and architecture.
Create end-to-end architectures and future-state blueprints, demo showcases that embed AI/ML and agentic flows into solutions for the manufacturing industry.
Drive repeatability and scale by leading strategic initiatives, building repeatable solution assets and frameworks for global adoption.
Deliver persona use case journeys and system/application architecture, demo showcases that integrate Snowflake into a customer's broader solutions portfolio and ecosystem.
Scale expertise through field enablement and by creating workshops and playbooks.
Influence the product roadmap by acting as a conduit to the product teams, providing structured feedback based on industry needs and customer requirements.
Be a thought leader by driving technical thought leadership for the manufacturing industries through blogs, talks, and field enablement.
Contribute to industry marketing activities including webinars and conferences.
Provide proactive customer guidance on how the Industry is adopting Snowflake and which Industry value drivers Snowflake attaches to.
Extend Use Case presentations with how the Use Cases might be addressed, technical architectures and decision points.
Engage with ecosystem partners to provide interface or vendor guidance, and introduce ecosystem participants without a Data Cloud presence to the wider Snowflake team.
Facilitate conversations and advocate for the customer and the vendor with other teams within Snowflake.
Conduct solution architecture and review for domain-specific solutions.
Maintain strategic stakeholder alignment with C-level and direct reports, ensuring consistency and alignment across business units and use cases in global organizations.
Help maintain global consistency of vision and assist individual geographies.
Provide Technical Industry trend PoV on topics like Data Mesh, Data Vault, GenAI, Data Lakes vs Warehouse vs Lakehouses, including case studies, challenges and tradeoffs.
Complement the customer’s point of view with a wider Industry perspective, including assistance with bespoke Solution/lab setups for the subindustry.
Support RFPs that have an Industry backdrop, requesting information on the Manufacturing Data Cloud or specific Industry topics.
Scale Snowflake's offering by gathering groups of SE’s to drive and foster better industry alignment and knowledge sharing.
Create scalable content and drive adoption of key Use Cases.
Engage with key partners to develop industry best practices, architectures and demos.
Participate in key industry events.
